Q: Why was the Pre Ordering of your Cyberman statues put back? Q: I was going to pre order your Tardis Console but have decided to wait a few months to see if the price is dropped. A: Let us take this opportunity of stating that Iconic Replicas will NEVER reduce the selling price or discount any of its existing or future Prop Replicas after its release. This is to protect the value of your investment and guarantee the collect ability of the Prop Replica for the future. You will notice that the Edition sizes of our releases have been greatly reduced from that of earlier Editions. This is to guarantee that the whole Edition will have sold over the duration of is licence. (Approximately 3 years) By waiting to order, you run the risk of missing out completely, particularly on our New Dr Who Replica Collection as it is proving very popular indeed. Q: Why is not all the information available for some of your Replicas on the site - release dates, prices etc? A: The development of each Prop Replica is a lengthy process stretching over 10 months. Once our model makers have created the original prototype, we are very excited and keen to share images of the Replica with our Collectors and generate an interest. The model is then sent to our agents in the Far East where it goes through the long process of tooling / scheduling and most importantly costing. These facts are sometimes not available to us for quite some time. Once we do know, we post the information on our Website straight away. Contacting us by telephone or E-Mail will not help - if it’s not on the site then we don’t know! Q: Your Die Casts were wonderful. Why aren’t you making anymore? While they look beautiful, I can’t afford your Prop Replicas. A: Unfortunately, simply Maths! The cost of producing products such as Die Cast Toys is very expensive indeed. With later releases, the volume we were selling did not cover the investment. Had we continued with subsequent releases we would have gone bankrupt! We did have one irate customer who insisted that "irrelevant" of this fact we should continue to produce them "out of loyalty to the fans" Not quite sure how that would have worked!? We understand that not everyone can afford our Prop Replicas, however, this new direction has allowed us to continue in this field and up our game to produce some of the best Collectables around. Q: I saw that someone is selling your Prop Replica Eagle Freighter on E-Bay as "Buy it now" - As a member of your Collector Club I am particularly annoyed that we were told that these are available in April yet some people are receiving theirs earlier. A: Unfortunately the person "selling" this item had incorrect information, they did not in fact have stock of this item. We endeavour to keep all of our trade and wholesale customers updated on any products developments / changes, however, they don’t always pass this information onto their customers. In the case of E-Bay, a regular occurrence is that in an attempt to beat others to early sales, sellers sometimes advertise our products well in advance of its release giving the impression that they actually hold stock of the item when they don’t. The knock on effect for us it that customers who have pre orders with us contact us demanding to know why they have yet to receive their Prop Replica. As a simple rule of thumb - if in doubt - look on our website. Iconic Replicas are the designers and manufacturers of these products, we are the only people who are in possession of all the facts. If the information you have read else where is not on our site then you can be confident that it is incorrect. Q: Why was the Pre Ordering of your Cyberman statues put back? A: This was because there was a delay in the costing process. We will not accept pre orders on any item until we are fully aware of RRP and can inform our customers of the cost they are expected to pay. We will hopefully have this information soon. A: Iconic Replicas Ltd statement: It has been brought to our attention that there have been issues with the level of Quality Control on a proportion of our recent issue release – Laboratory Eagle. These defects include bowing of the main body and twisting of the main frame. These issues have been taken up with our agents in Hong Kong responsible for QC control and they are in the process of manufacturing replacements for these defective items. Any customers who have a problem can simply contact us and the item will either be replaced or they will receive a refund in full. Please contact us BEFORE returning any items. We are obviously most annoyed and have taken our agents to task over the matter and are putting procedure into place to ensure this doesn’t happen again. Could we also please ask those customers who have felt the need to send us mail containing excessive amounts of vitriol to please keep this in perspective. Disclaimer Iconic Replicas Ltd cannot reply to individual correspondence directly, (we’d never get any work done!) however, we will post responses to inquiries that we receive several correspondences on. |
