Model Makers Comments:
There have been many fan produced Sconic Screwdrivers produced over the years some of excellent quality. So many in fact, that we were unsure if it was commercially viable to offer the first authentic, fully licensed version.
We decided that it was, but as many fans may already own an example of the screwdriver it was of utmost importance that ours be of an exacting standard.
Again –there was in house fighting about which version we produced – Pertwee or Baker? (You can get an idea of our ages here!) Baker version finally won out.
Our version is produced in turned aluminium and features authentic 'activation' movement of the original prop.
The display of the item was also of great importance to us. Our designers came up with a wonderful display case that not only showed the prop replica off to best effect, but also captured the spirit of the show at the time from which the replica hails.
